Answer on Weight loss pills for a 13 year old?
I certainly understand your concerns about your body, we've all been there, and being a teen is hard. First of all, I'm not sure losing 20 pounds is what you need. You are pretty tall for a 13 year old, and your weight isn't that far out of range, actually if you have a large frame, your weight is just right for your height. But these pills won't help you and they can really mess up a young girl like you. They can actually end up making you gain more weight by messing with your metabolism, so by all means, stay away from the pills. There are plenty of safe, effective means of weight loss for you, that will not only help you lose the weight you want, but will help keep you healthy. First of all, start an exercise program. When I was about your age, I started jogging with my Dad. He is a die hard jogger, and I used to get up at 5 am (yes, I said 5 am, and I am not a morning person) to go jogging before school. There are also plenty of exercise videos that are fun and effective. You should be able to check some out from the library before you try them. Also, stay away from "energy" drinks, they tend to make you gain weight. Stick with a flavored water, believe it or not, getting the proper amount of water will help you maintain your energy without gaining weight of having the energy "crash" that comes with some drinks. Hope this helps, and best of luck to you!
